Our team coaxed and prompted smiles and laughter, despite the overcast and drizzle. We photographed each foursome and sent them on their way with smiles and well-wishes.
More than two inches of rain had portions of the course underwater, so golfers had a one-hour delay and focused on only 9 instead of the original 18-holes planned. But the reduction in golf didn’t damper spirits, and each group stopped for a quick and photo, a John Daly and can koozie at Hole 4, sponsored by Rogue Wave Marketing.
Smiles, sportsmanship and laughter prevailed. So did the sun – just as everyone was wrapping up and golfers enjoyed the silent auction.
